- Causality is a chain of events, where one event leads to another one.
- Narrative compression is used a lot in TV commercials, in which ads must make a good impression in about 15 seconds. Duration, editing, framing, and narration are critical. For example, the 15-second ads (could be a movie trailer) that appear on YouTube when you want to watch a video.
- I was watching a movie the other day in which a character goes to the past in order to change the future (and present). In the movie, you could see both present and past happening together, going back and forth. The movie ended with the present disappearing and a different past shown.
- In horror movies, you can see that somebody is getting killed, but then you realize it was just an illusion inside the character's head. Nobody got killed yet.
